Terms of Use

These conditions apply whenever you browse Gallatin County Criminal History, read its content, or use a search feature. Access indicates agreement; discontinue use if you do not accept the terms.

NO FCRA USE. This privately run website has no affiliation with Gallatin County, Kentucky, or any federal agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). It is a records-navigation resource, not a private-investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of government. It does not store official records, retrieve them, perform official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its purpose is to identify the Gallatin Circuit Court Clerk, appropriate law-enforcement custodians, AOC FastCheck, KSP records channels, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry, along with outside tools that may assist personal research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with the site's availability or another visitor's access
  • Probe or enter systems without authorization
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Harass, threaten, or stalk anyone using information found here
  • Use the site in violation of federal, Kentucky, or local law
  • Rely on its content for a credit, employment, housing, or insurance decision

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked tool may not be used to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or discriminate against a person. Kentucky imposes particular restrictions on misuse of registry information, and violations can carry criminal consequences. Registry access supports lawful community awareness, never vigilantism or retaliation.

4. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency and creates no consumer reports. Neither it nor its advertising partners supplies a service designed for an FCRA-regulated decision. You may not use site or linked-tool information to:

  • Evaluate a person's credit or insurance eligibility
  • Make a hiring, firing, or other employment decision
  • Assess a rental or housing application
  • Determine eligibility for licenses, permits, or public benefits
  • Carry out any other use regulated by the FCRA

A legally authorized FCRA purpose requires the proper official process or an FCRA-compliant provider; this website and its widget are not that process.

5. No Legal Advice

General explanations of Gallatin County records are not legal advice. Only a licensed Kentucky attorney can advise how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule applies to a particular situation.

6. No Warranties

Content and services are supplied "as is." No guarantee is made that:

  • Information or partner results are complete, accurate, or current
  • Access will remain uninterrupted
  • Pages are free from defects or security vulnerabilities

Charges can be amended or dismissed, and records may later be restricted or expunged. No page is an official statement from the Gallatin clerk, sheriff, KSP, or another public office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

County offices, Kentucky courts, agencies, legal resources, and outside search services control their own sites. Their availability, prices, data practices, and content are their responsibility. Review their terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Gallatin County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, altered, distributed, or adapted without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site is not liable for damages arising from its use, including reliance on information found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold the site harmless, including reasonable legal costs, from a claim or demand resulting from your use or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms, and disputes must be brought in an appropriate Kentucky court. Public-record access is separately governed by the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870–61.884; specified criminal-record dissemination rules include KRS 17.150.

12. Changes to These Terms

A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or terminated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain effective; the affected language is adjusted only as far as necessary.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
